Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Astro Intelligence ("Astro", "we") collects through this website and the Astro waitlist, why, and what you can do about it. Today the site does one thing: it lets you join the waitlist for Astro. Nothing is for sale.
The short version
- We collect your email address when you join the waitlist, plus a few details about the signup.
- We use it to confirm your signup, to tell you when Astro opens and to send you updates about it.
- We don't sell your information or share it with advertisers.
- Every email we send has an unsubscribe link.
- This site sets no cookies.
What we collect when you join
When you join the waitlist, we store:
- your email address;
- which version of the signup wording you saw, and the date and time you signed up;
- when we sent your confirmation email, when you confirmed and, if you leave, when you unsubscribed;
- where your visit came from, when the link you followed says so: campaign tags in the link (the "utm" fields), a referral code, and the website that sent you (its domain only, not the full page address);
- which version of our home page you saw;
- a scrambled form of your IP address: we run it through a one-way hash with a secret key and store only the result, never the address itself (for an IPv6 address, only its network part is hashed);
- a one-way hash of the code in your confirmation link, and when that link expires. We never store the link itself.
We don't ask for your name, phone number, payment details or brokerage account, and we don't store your browser or device details with your signup. Our server also holds your IP address briefly in memory to limit repeated attempts; it isn't written to our database.
What we see when you visit
- Vercel hosts this site. Like any web host, it receives the technical details every web request carries, such as your IP address and browser type, and handles them under its own privacy policy.
- We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and a few actions on the page: focusing on or sending the signup form, clicking a join button or a lesson link, reaching the questions section, how far down the page you scroll, whether a signup worked or hit an error, and when a signup is confirmed. These events never include your email address, and before a page address goes to analytics we remove any confirmation or unsubscribe code from it.
Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no cookies, Vercel says its Web Analytics doesn't use them either, and the site keeps nothing in your browser's storage.
How we use your information
- To send the confirmation email you asked for, and to check that the address is really yours.
- Once you confirm, to tell you when Astro opens and to send you launch and product updates.
- If you later become a member, to send you Astro alerts and run your membership.
- To see which links and campaigns bring people to the waitlist.
- To spot and stop abuse, such as repeated or automated signups.
- To keep a record of which wording you agreed to and, if you leave, that you unsubscribed, so we honor it.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with advertisers.
Who we share it with
These service providers run the waitlist for us and handle your information under their own terms:
- Vercel hosts the site and runs Vercel Web Analytics.
- Supabase hosts the database that stores your signup.
- Resend sends our emails. When you confirm, your email address is added to our contact list at Resend; if you unsubscribe, it is marked as unsubscribed there.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or to a buyer if the business is sold or merged.
How long we keep it
- If you never confirm, a daily cleanup deletes your signup once it is more than 30 days old.
- Confirmation links stop working 48 hours after we send them.
- If you confirm, we keep your signup until you ask us to delete it.
- If you unsubscribe, we keep your email address and the date you left, so we don't email you again. We delete that record only if you ask us to.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link: open it and press Unsubscribe. If your mail app shows its own unsubscribe button, that works too, in one click.
- Deletion, a copy or a correction. Write to us at hello@astrointelligence.io from the address you signed up with. We'll delete your signup from our database and remove your address from our contact list at Resend, send you a copy of what we hold, or correct it.
Depending on where you live, you may have other rights over your information. Write to us to use them.
Security
The signup database is closed to the public: only our server and the people who run Astro can read it. We store confirmation codes only as one-way hashes, and unsubscribe links are signed so they can't be guessed. No way of storing or sending information is perfectly secure.
Children
Astro is not for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think someone under 18 has joined the waitlist, write to us at hello@astrointelligence.io and we'll delete it.
Where we operate
Astro operates from the United States, and this site is meant for people in the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States or in other countries where they work.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change significantly affects how we use information we already hold, we'll tell people on the waitlist before it applies. Our Terms of Use cover the rest of how the site works.
